A locally produced video game designed to showcase the work done by Customs officials is making waves across Europe, with the EU Commission translating it into five different languages.

Nothing to Declare allows players to interrogate passengers, examine suspicious packages and check shipping documentation to make sure everything is in order.

The game was launched last year to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the EU Customs Union and is now being translated into Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish by the EU Commission.

It is also being used locally by the Education Department, to teach student about customs in Social and European Studies.

The game was produced by Malta Customs Communications’ Office and developed by a Maltese developer. It is available for free in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
