Ecuador’s Congress plans to hold a final vote Monday on a tax increase in a bid to ensure a $4.2 billion loan program from the International Monetary Fund.

Congress President Cesar Litardo requested that legislators meet for the second and final debate on the bill at 3:30 p.m., according to a summons. The tax bill has 50 articles and seeks to raise returns by almost $600 million.
